Pottery: Norfolk House (Probably)
Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue
Buff earthenware, thrown, tin-glazed greenish-white, and painted in blue. The mug has a bulbous lower part, a cylindrical neck, and an applied handle of oval section with an applied rolled lower terminal. The underside is slightly concave. The body is encircled by a long label inscribed 'GOD:BLESS:KING:WILIAM &:MARY:REX' and edged by a line and a scalloped line. Round the upper neck there is a border of long and short thick strokes.
