Description

Shallow bowl on low foot. Pale red earthenware, covered with off-white tin-glaze. Painted in blue, green, yellow, and orange.
Circular with a wavy rim, the curved sides moulded with alternately wide and narrow flutes radiating from a circular convex area in the middle; low trumpet-shaped foot.
In the middle, framed by two concentric blue circles, is a bust of a woman in profile to left. She wears a cap and dress, both painted in yellow and orange, the shoulders of the latter decorated with foliated scrolls. Behind her is a scroll inscribed in blue, `NIN/NCEN/TIA.B'; the background is green. The sides are decorated with blue foliated scrolls with yellow and orange flowers, interrupted at the top by a stylised plant, and, at the bottom, by a bunch of fruit and foliage. The rim is yellow.
