Notes

History note: Purportedly from Ramsgate; sold Sotheby;s 4 November 1908, lot 577; Mr Stoner bid for Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge. But Mr S. Fenton was the buyer for £15.10.0. He initially asked £24 for it, but Glaisher bought it for £22.10.0; after repair he received it on 17 November 1908
