Description

Buff earthenware, tin-glazed pale turquoise-blue, and painted in blue and orange. Circular with curved sides, standing on a footring, pierced by a hole before firing. The middle is decorated with half-length portraits of William III and Mary II and the initials 'W M R'. encircled by three narrow concentric circles.

History note: Mr Thomas Sutton, Eastbourne, from whom bought for £5.10s.0d. on 16 November 1904 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge.
