Dish: Tulips growing from a mound

Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue, olive-green, yellow, and brownish-orange with tulips and other flowers growing from a mound; round the edge, blue and yellow bands and blue dashes
Buff earthenware, the front tin-glazed and painted in blue, olive-green, yellow, and brownish-orange; the reverse, covered with slip and crawling tin-glaze speckled in blue. The front is decorated with tulips, lilies, spiral buds and foliage springing from a green mound. Round the edge there are blue and yellow bands and blue dashes.
History note: Possibly bought at Barrington, Cambridgeshire in 1899 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge
