Description

Dark buff earthenware, tin-glazed pale greenish-blue overall, and painted in blue. Circular with curved sides. Decorated in the middle with a half-length portrait probably of Queen Mary II wearing a crown, a necklace, and an ermine-trimmed cape over her dress. Above her shoulders are the initials 'Q' and 'M' , and on each side close to the edge of the dish, draped up curtains.
