Description

Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue with a smoking kiln

Buff earthenware, tin-glazed and painted in blue. Circular with a sloping rim, shallow well and flat centre. Decorated with a smoking kiln, and a house, fences, and clouds

History note: Mr Freeman, dealer, Cambridge, from whom purchased in 1899 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge
