Description

Fritware, incised and coated in a yellow glaze

Fritware, probably wheel thrown, incised on the interior and coated in a crazed yellow glaze
Shape: hemispherical bowl with a slightly out-turned rim, sits on a narrow, slightly flared foot ring.
Interior: a frieze of scrolling leaves and roundels is incised on the body. Glaze pools in the roundel.
Exterior: glaze runs over the surface, terminating on the foot ring
