Description

Fritware, moulded and coated in a purple glaze

Fritware, wheel thrown and moulded, coated in a purple glaze
Shape: globular body on a low foot ring, tubular collared neck with a flaring rim.
Exterior: moulded decoration on the shoulder comprised leaping quadrupeds amongst leafy foliage. Glaze runs over the surface to a point on the lower body.
Interior: undecorated except for glaze on the rim.
