Description

Tin-glazed earthenwre painted in blue, yellowish-green, and red with Adam and Eve on either side of the Tree of Knowledge

Buff earthenware, tin-glazed and painted in blue, green, and red. The front is decorated with Adam and Eve standing on either side of the Tree of Knowledge which has red fruits, and a serpent entwined in its branches. To the right and left there are sponged blue trees and on the green foreground, plants. Round the edge there is a blue band, a broader yellow band, and blue dashes

Tin-glazing : Buff earthenware, probably press-moulded, tin-glazed and painted in blackish-blue, yellowish-green, and red; the back may have been coated in pale slip before glazing and the glaze has been partly wiped off the footring.
