Tin-glazed earthenware dish painted in blue, yellow, and green, with Queen Mary seated on a chair between sponged trees. Blue dash border.
Buff earthenware, the front tin-glazed and painted in blue, yellowish-green, dark, and pale yellow; the back tin-glazed greyish-white with blue speckles. Circular with a sloping rim and curved well, standing on a footring. Painted with Queen Mary, crowned, and holding an orb in her right hand, and a sceptre in her left, seated on a high-backed chair, between sponged trees, with grass in the foreground, enclosed by a blue circle. Round the edge there are two blue circles and blue dashes.

The Queen was identified by Rackham in 1935 as Queen Anne, but her costume and hair style suggest that she was probably intended to be Queen Mary II.
The dish could have been made in London, Brislington or Bristol
