Buff earthenware, moulded, tin-glazed greyish-white, and painted in blue, brownish-yellow, and manganese-purple. Circular with a wide sloping rim and shallow centre, convex on the reverse without a footring. In the middle there is blue medallion with reserved white floral spray. The rim and sides are decorated with four kidney-shaped medallions outlined in blue enclosing sketchily-painted manganese buildings and trees. The ground between them is decorated with dark manganese-brown scale pattern over brownish-yellow.
