Pottery: Unidentified Liverpool pottery
Buff earthenware, tin-glazed pale grey, and painted in blue, green, yellow, and manganese-purple. Circular with a wide sloping rim, shallow curved sides, and flat centre with recessed base. The central area of the rim and well is decorated with a marine landscape with two sailing ships, a small boat, and a jetty on the left, a tree beside a house, a fence, and fields in the middle, and a distant windmill on the right.
