Potter: Mushinan (Perhaps)
Moulded hollow figure of sage in red earthenware, with unglazed face in a different body. He has a bulging forehead and a beard, and wears a cloak with a Raku glaze in green and red. An inscription has been incised inside.

Tenmoku tea bowl illustrated as fig.323 in Nihon Yakimono Shushei Vol.5 , Publ. Heibonsha, has this same glaze. the figure was possibly fired in the same kiln.
