Six earthenware fragments, coated in a cream slip, enhanced with light and dark brown pigments and incised under green glaze

Wheel-thrown earthenware bowl and cup fragments with reddish body tones, coated in a cream slip, enhanced with light and dark brown pigments and incised under green glaze.
A:
Shape: fragment of a bowl comprising part of rounded lower body standing on a tall, straight-sided foot ring
Interior: green glaze over a cream slip with one splash of brown pigment, the base decorated with an incised ostrich-like bird in profile, with a long neck (the head missing), rounded body stippled with incised dots and short lines, raised wings with parallel feathers and part of tailfeathers
Exterior: over a cream slip, undecorated green glaze runs over and on the inside of the foot ring with two splashes of yellow on the body

Shape: fragment of a bowl comprising part of rounded lower body standing on a tall, straight-sided foot ring
Interior: cream slip incised under a green glaze, depicting a roundel with two brown swords either side a central brown block.
Exterior: a greenish glaze covers the surface

Shape: fragment of a carinated cup with straight sides flaring outwards towards the rim, standing on a flaring foot ring
Interior: green glaze over a cream slip, a pattern of straight and curving lines over a densely spiralling scribbled ground on the base is enclosed within a circle, the rim decorated with a line of dark brown pigment, below which two incised concentric lines enclose a band of loose scribbles, the upper body undecorated
Exterior: yellow glaze applied directly to the body with some splashes of brown pigment and some green glaze running over from the interior, the glaze pooling towards the rim

Shape: triangular rim fragment with rounded sides and slightly beaded rim
Interior: green glaze over a cream slip, a group of incised calligraphy on the upper body is defined with a thicker layer of slip creating a relief effect and paler tone under the glaze, an incised scalloped decorative band running under the rim
Exterior: a thin layer of green glaze applied over a cream slip, undecorated except for a band of s-shaped motifs painted without incising, alternately in light and dark brown pigments

Interior: green glaze over a cream slip, a band of incised palmettes and vegetal decoration over a densely spiralling scribbled ground is enclosed by two incised lines above and one below
Exterior: Undecorated yellow glaze applied direct to the body, with some splashes of brown pigment

Shape: triangular fragment of a beaded rim and part of upper body with rounded convex sides
Interior: under the rim, decorated with dark brown pigment, a band of s-shaped motifs decorated alternately in three colours comprising light and dark brown pigments and a thicker layer of slip creating a paler tone under the glaze, is enclosed between two double incised lines, above a scalloped decorative band.
Exterior: the green glaze extends to the rim, below which an yellow glaze is applied direct to the body undecorated except for a circle of brown pigment crossed through by a diagonal line
