Description

Hard-paste porcelain, press-moulded and glazed

FHard-paste porcelain, press-moulded, and clear glazed. The girl is supported on a small, straight-sided square base, the underside of which has a circular glazed depression. She stands on her right foot leaning over a vine growing from a low rock. Her left arm is behind the vine, and in her hand she holds a basket containing three bunches of grapes which rests on the rock. Her right arm is bent at the elbow, and in her right had she holds a small curved knife. She wears a broad-brimme hat, with a flower on the turned up right side; a bodice with lacing at the front, and a basque at the back; and a skirt drawn up at the front and back over her petticoat. Her visible shoe with a small pompom on the front.
