Red earthenwawre coated in white slip, with incised decoration painted in manganese-brown under lead-glaze. Circular with a narrow rim, shallow sloping sides and flat base. In the middle there is a heart-shaped panel inscribed 'Aus Liebe/1875' surrounded by formal flowers and foliage, and on the rim, a narrow border of slanting motifs made up of three joined circles.
