Description

Earthenware coffee pot and cover, printed onglaze in grey, blue, ochre and black with 'Tempo' pattern.

Coffee pot and cover, part of a set. Earthenware, slip-cast or moulded, and printed onglaze in grey, prussian blue, greyish yellow ochre, and black. 'Tempo' pattern. Cylindrical with sloping, incurved shoulders, loop handle and long, slightly curved spout, the flat, circular cover has an inverted pedestal-shaped knob, slightly concave on top. Decorated on both sides with a grey stripe with a black spot at the top, ten yellow ochre spots in pairs, a black strip with five prussian blue spots, three large prussian blue spots, and a grey stripe with a black spot at the top. On the edge of the cover there are two grey panels with yellow ochre spots, and two black panels with three prussian blue spots.
