Nude Woman

Terracotta with yellowish-white tin-glaze
Pale orange terracotta, covered with yellowish-white unevenly applied tin-glaze, which has black speckles and has crazed. The woman stands, resting her left foot on a vase. She holds up a drape to her left thigh with her right hand, and holds her left breast with her right hand. The octagonal base which is hollow underneath, supports a pouf-shaped pedestal with a circular top on which the figure stands.

Relative size of this object is displayed using code inspired by Good Form and Spectacle's work on the British Museum's Waddeson Bequest website and their dimension drawer. They chose a tennis ball to represent a universally sized object, from which you could envisage the size of an object.
