Pottery: Unknown
Footed stoneware tea bowl, thrown and turned, with a wave cut on the edge of the foot rim. Brown glaze applied, followed by a very thick slip of clay with greater shrinkage on firing. A broad curved band of black glaze is then brushed on. In the firing the slip layer shrinks more and fragments giving ‘dragon scale’ effect.
