Description

Hard-paste porcelain bowl enamelled in full polychrome. The steeply rounded sides rest on a low tapered foot and flare towards the scalloped rim edged in gilding. The exterior is finely painted with a continuous scene of Mt. Lu, depicting a summer villa approached by a wide staircase flanked, by rockwork and pine trees. There is a small pavillion to one side with its name written beside it, 'Guan Quan Ting' (Spring-viewing pavilion). Tall mountains picked out in tones of green, blue and grey shrouded in ribbon like clouds in the background.
The reverse with a seven line poem by Libe pencilled in black, with seals in iron-red enamel.
Seal mark of Jiaqing enamelled in iron-red.
