Description

Tin-glazed earthenware wall plaque, moulded with two shells and scrolled round edge. Painted in blue with vases, spittoon, baskets and teapots, reserved in a yellow ground.

History note: Mossel (Simpson & Co.), Great Turnstile, London, from whom bought for £8.0.0 about 1901 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge
