Duck
Production: Unidentified Delft factory
Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue, green, yellow two-shades of manganse-purple, red, and a little grey
Buff earthenware, moulded in the shape of a swimming duck with its left wing raised vertically, resting on a very slightly convex oval base with a ventilation hold in the middle, tin-glazed overall and painted in pale blue, green, yellow, red, two-shades of manangese-purple, and a little grey on the beak. The edge of the base is manganese-purple.
History note: Vendor in Cambridge; Stanley Woolston, Cambridge, from whom purchased for £15 on 28 August 1927 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge
