Tin-glazed earthenware, painted in blue, green, and red. A bearded Chinese sage is seated on a rock, holding a red fruit in his left hand. A small boy stands beside him holding the top of a green staff with his right hand. Both figures have green hats and red shoes; their costume is painted mainly in blue with a few red motifs and dotted borders
