Thrown brown stoneware with a bulbous body, short narrow neck with thickened rim, covered on the visible surfaces with a mottled grey, brown, and blue glaze.

Notes

History note: Boulogne, where purchased on 6 October 1925 from n unidentified a pastry cook's shop for 15 francs (3s. 6d.) in 1925 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge
