Techniques used in production

Press-moulding : Cream earthenware, press-moulded, and decorated with clear blue tinted, and blue, green, yellow, pale manganese-brown, pale greenish-brown, and dark brown lead glazes. The figure is unglazed and hollow underneath. The shepherdess stands on a brown rocky base with a green flower on the front. She stands with her feet slightly apart facing towards the viewer. She holds a blue spotted bundle in her left hand, and has her right hand raised to hold her crook (missing). She wears a green hat, a blue stomacher, a green open robe over a white petticoat, and dark brown shoes.
