Fritware with carved black slip under a turquoise glaze
Fritware, wheel thrown, coated in a black slip, carved under a turquoise glaze
Shape: hemispherical bowl with a slightly everted rim, sits on a foot ring.
Interior: a frieze of palmette leaves on the body radiate from four part rosette on the base. Cross hatch lozenges fills the area between the rosette petals.
Exterior: the body is coated with glaze which has pooled slightly in places around the foot ring.
