Description

Earthenware with applied moulded decoration in the form of a spray of hops, under green lead (?) glaze.

Earthenware with applied moulded decoration under green lead (?) glaze. Tall slender ovoid body with turned base, expanding towards the rim which is pinched at the front to form a lip; twisted handle applied on a slant at right angles to the lip. A spray of hops twines round the body from the top of the handle at the front almost to its lower end at the back. The neck is incised 'J.W.L. Glaisher 1899.'
