Description

White earthenware dish drainer, transfer-printed in blue and painted in red and green enamel, with a dragon holding a pearl.

Dish drainer. White earthenware, transfer-printed in blue under blue-tinted clear glaze and painted in red and green enamels. Oval, pierced by a large central hole surrounded by single holes and small groups of holes. Part of a Chinese four-clawed dragon holding a pearl reserved in a red background decorated with green leaves and reserved white and red flowers. On the reverse, transfer-printed underglaze in blue, a large leaf decorated with scrolls and a small pseudo-Chinese symbol.
