Earthenware coated in a white slip incised and painted in green under a colourless glaze
Brown earthenware, wheel thrown, coated in a white slip incised and painted in green under a colourless glaze.
Shape: conical bowl with a plain rim and a disc base
Interior: coated in a white slip with the rim painted green above a green wavey line. On the body an incised frieze, outlined in green and decorated by groups of green dots, comprises medallions containing stylised birds and separated by arcading. Spandrels and birds are filled with incised spirals. Covered with a colourless glaze; three scar marks on the base indicate use of a tripod stacking device in the kiln.
Exterior: a white slip covers the upper body covered unevenly by patches of green pigment and colourless glaze.
