Description

Off-white white salt-glazed stoneware, thrown with applied moulded spout and handles, and mould-applied decoration. The globular body has a narrow ledge round its mouth for the cover to rest on, and a crabstock handle and spout.The wall behind the spout is pierced by six holes. Extending from the handle on each side it has a wavy spray of mould-applied flowers and foliage, which almost reach to the spout. The slightly convex circular cover has a ventilation hole in the centre under the angular crabstock handle. The top is decorated with an applied flower and a spray of leaves.
