Description

Fritware, impressed and incised under a turquoise glaze

Fritware, wheel thrown body, impressed and incised under a crazed turquoise glaze
Shape: inverted pear shaped body on a disc base cut away on the underside, collar neck and a triangular rim
Exterior: incised lines at the juncture between neck and body, vertical fluting incised on the shoulder. On the lower body impressed dimples form a honey comb frieze. Glaze runs over the surface forming droplets on the lower body.
Interior: coated in glaze, otherwise undecorated.
