Production: Unknown
Lung-ch'uan type stoneware funerary urn, of a roughly ovoid shape with a cylindrical neck and everted lip. Lower part of body carved with lotus petals. Around the shoulder is a freely modelled spotted feline and a pearl or one of the Eight Precious Things. Thick grey green glaze over the whole, apart from the lip, which is burnt light orange.
Thick glazed foot, with a large amount of kiln sand adhering to the rim.
There is a dome shaped lid which seems too small for the rim, surmounted by a freely modelled dog covered in thick grey green glaze. The underside is burnt light orange brown.
