Description

Fritware coated in a colourless glaze painted with lustre

Fritware, covered in a colourless glaze painted with brown lustre
Shape: conical bowl with a plain rim, sits on a low foot ring
Interior: the rim is painted with a lustre band, on the neck a pseudo-calligraphic band. On the body a frieze of scrolls and paired vertical lines is enclosed by a series of horizontal concentric bands. Glaze does not cover the base.
Exterior: lustre paint continues on the rim. The glaze runs over the surface, forming droplets on the lower body.
