Hard-paste porcelain, painted in enamels
Hard-paste porcelain, moulded, painted in greyish-green, red, pale brown, dark brown, and black enamels. The glazed underside is concave, with a ventilation hole at the back. The low mound base is approximately oval with a low tree stump at the back. The young man stands in front of it with his right leg advanced. His right hand is concealed by a large muff and he holds his left up towards his face. His hair is dressed in a long queue at the back. He wears a mottled brown and black hat, a red fur-edged coat, breeches and waistcoat striped in two shades of pale brown, and black knee-high boots. The top of the base is lightly mottled in green, and the treestump in green and brown.
