Description

Earthenware coated in an opaque white glaze splashed with green

Pinkish buff earthenware, wheel thrown, coated in an opaque white glaze splashed with green.
Shape: hemispherical bowl with a lightly rolled rim, sits on a very low foot ring
Interior: at regular intervals on the body four groups of three green lines radiate from below the rim towards the base. Glaze is pitted in places and scar marks on the base indicate the use of a tripod stacking device in the kiln.
Exterior: undecorated except for glaze, terminates on the upper body.
