Description

Parian porcelain Shamrock Basket, glazed, hand-modelled and painted overglaze in pink and green enamels.

Parian porcelain Shamrock Basket, hand-modelled, clear-glazed and enamelled in pink and green. Trefoil-shaped with sloping sides, the flat base woven with four strands in each direction; the sides woven with one-strand diagonal trellis. Round the edge of the base there is a double 'rope' edging; round the rim, a single rope edging coloured pink; and round the junction of the sides and base inside, another pink rope edging. Apllied to the rim on each foil, there is a small green leaf, and between each foil, a rose with three leaves and two green buds.
