Hoyle, John Phillips
(Potter)
Pale red earthenware, coated in white slip with incised decoration under yellowish lead glaze. Depressed globular form with knob on the top, and a projecting ridge below the horizontal slot. Above the slot is inscribed 'John hoyle' and crude notched decoration.
