White earthenware toy dinner service square bowl, bat-printed in puce with a mother and child.
Square bowl standing on a footring, from part of a toy dinner service. White earthenware with pale-blue tinted glaze, bat-printed in puce and banded in blue enamel. The bowl is decorated with, on one side, a mother seated on a long stool with a little boy kneeling on a box in front of her, and, on the other side, a mother seated on a square box with a nude child kneeking on her knee, a vase to the left, and a large bowl to the right.
Given by G.H.W. Rylands in memory of his mother Betha Wolferstan Rylands.
