Red earthenware, thrown, coated with white slip with incised and cut away decoration under yellow lead-glaze, clouded with brown. Decorated with flowers, birds, a sailing boat, and the inscription 'Thomas Beat The Ring is Round that hath no End so is my love to you my Friend January the 21 1796'
