Description

Cream earthenware, press-moulded and decorated with coloured glazes

Cream earthenware, press-moulded, and decorated with dark blue, green, yellow, purple, and clear lead-glazes. The fox is seated on a low oblong mound, rounded at the left end and pointed at the right. The underside is open and clear-glazed. The fox looks down, and has its right paw over a chicken or pigeon. Its bushy tail is curved around it on the mound. Its body has splashes of dark blue and yellow on its mainly manganese-purple fur, and the base is green
