Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue with a flowering tree and floral sprays
Greyish-buff earthenware. thrown, with applied handle, tin-glazed pale blue, and painted in dark blue. The jug has a pear-shaped body rising at the front into a broad lip, a tall handle rising above the rim and curving inwards to join the top of the neck, and a circular spreading foot. On the front there is a flowering tree and other plants in Chinese style, and on each side a floral spray and a small sprig. Above round the neck there are three small sprigs. The sides of the handle are decorated with alternating strokes and groups of four or three dots, and on its back there is a central flower with short horizontal lines of graduating size above and below, also a broad stroke of blue on the top.
