Box in the form of a bundle of asparagus

Tin-glazed earthenware moulded in two parts in the shape of a bundle of asparagus and painted in shades of green, purple, and pale brown
Buff earthenware, moulded in two parts in the form of a bundle of asparagus tied with two tapes. The box is of a tapering rectangular form with a recessed base, and sides and ends moulded as sticks of asparagus. Its top has a tapering rectangular aperture with a raised edge over which the lid fits. The lid is similarly moulded but shallower. The asparagus stalks are painted pale green with darker green tips and purple and pale purple details. The two tapes are painted in pale brown and a darker shade of the same colour .
