Description

Soft-paste porcelain painted underglaze in blue with stylised floral sprays

Soft-paste porcelain painted underglaze in blue. The cup is of truncated conical form with a single loop handle. The circular saucer has a flat central area, and sloping sides. The cup is decorated à la brindille with two stylised flowering sprays, and a small sprig. Down the back of the handle there is a wavy vertical line flanked by dots, and round the rim, a plain band. The saucer has a small sprig in the middle, three larger sprays on the sides, and a band round the rim.
