It is decorated on both sides with a lobed panel enclosing a pair of quail, with feathers in brown highlighted with white, standing on a grassy slope between a clump of bamboo canes, flanked by blue asters and a spray of pink peony growing from behind angular rockwork. The panels are divided above by two shou medallions in blue and yellow. All reserved against the dark rose-pink ground.
