Ewer. Earthenware, tin-glazed off-white on the interior and exterior. Painted in blue, dark and pale yellow, and manganese-purple.
Cylindrical with bulbous lower part, projecting lip moulded underneath with a grotesque mask, and angular strap handle. The reel-shaped foot is a replacement in opaque-white glass.
The mask has crudely delineated eyes and mouth in manganese and dark yellow, and a blue frill-like beard with yellow ears above on each side. It is surrounded by crosses and dots alternating with stylised flowers and foliage. The foot is painted bluish-green. The back of the handle is striped horizontally in two shades of yellow and has a wavy manganese-purple line down the middle.
