Description

Fragment of a bowl on a foot. Buff earthenware, tin-glazed on both sides. Painted in blue and silver-yellow lustre.
Part of the base of the bowl and the vertical side.
Inside two zones of stylised floral decoration separated by two lustre bands each flanked by narrower blue bands. On the exterior there are leaves and a lustre band flanked by two narrower blue bands, a wide lustre band flanked by two narrower blue, a lustre band flanked by two narrower blue, and three buds and dots.

Notes

History note: Probably found near the Duomo in Orvieto, where acquired by the donor.
