Buff earthenware, tin-glazed on both sides. Painted in blue, green, yellow, orange and grey. Approximately oblong with part of the footring. Decorated with an oval shield and part of green mantling. The shield is charged party per fess, in chief, azure, a bust of a man in profile to left wearing a green headband, in base bendy or and gules (shown orange).
History note: Probably found near the Duomo in Orvieto, where purchased by the donor.
