Bag-shaped ceramic form, stoneware decorated with lithium glaze, coloured slips and oxides with a grid pattern

Stoneware, hand-built, squashed, fired to biscuit, and decorated with lithium glaze, coloured slips and oxides. Shaped like a shopping bag which has fallen over. Decorated on both sides with a grid pattern outlined in pale brown, and spattered with blue, with a yellow button or sun at the top.


History note: Purchased by the donors from Regina Heinz, The Business Village, Studio 213E Broomhill Road, London, SW18 4JQ.
