"This book is one of an edition limited to one hundred forty copies. The type faces, set by hand, are Romanée and Spectrum, with Deepdene italic for display. The all-rag paper was handmade to our specifications especially for this edition by Barcham Green & Company, England, and was printed damped on our 1846 model Columbian handpress... The cloth for the blinding is Richelieu which was hand-blocked by Fortuny at Venice, Italy ... Designed, printed, and bound by Lewis and Dorothy Allen, Greenbrae, California"--P. [5]. Signed by Lewis and Dorothy Allen May 28 1984. Title-page engraving by Mallette Dean (appeared in The Splendid Idle Forties) of a branched vine with coloured leaves - the words of the title are spaced between the branches. Quarter bound in tan cloth with vermilion and beige patterned cloth over boards. Issued in slipcase of same material as spine.
